Little Soldiers asks for your help

Hello all,

Martin from Little Soldiers here; without wishing to mis-direct the forum in any way, I am posting this appeal on every forum I frequent. If the moderators consider it inappropriate, and remove this thread, I'll respect their decision, of course, but please read on...

LITTLE SOLDIERS' CHRISTMAS APPEAL

While many of us all around the world look forward to Christmas and all the joys that it brings, Little Soldiers is asking the international community of miniature gamers and collectors to spare a thought - and some spare change - for the people of Mindanao in the Philippines.

The island of Mindanao was devastated by tropical storm Washi last weekend, leaving at least 900 dead in its wake. Over 300,000 people have been displaced by this disaster. 40,000+ of them are looking at spending their Christmases in overcrowded evacuation camps throughout the ravaged towns and villages.

On a personal note, my brother's partner, herself a native of the town of Iligan on Mindanao, has been left distraught by news of the deaths of friends, while her family's bakery has been washed away.

In response to this crisis, Little Soldiers is launching the Little Soldiers' Christmas Appeal. Our objective is to raise as much money as possible through the world's gaming enthusiasts, with the results benefiting the Philippines Red Cross.

If you follow the link in my signature, you will come to the Little Soldiers' homepage, and the donation options: There are three Donate buttons, for (Australian) $5.00, $10.00 or $20.00. That's all we are asking you to give; just five bucks. More, if you can spare it, but anything you can spare will be put to good use, assisting people who have suffered cruelly at what is supposed to be a joyful time of the year.

I invite the world's wargamers, (and anyone else who'd like to join in,) to unite and prove that we are not afraid to do what we can for those in need, especially at Christmas.

God bless, and thank you all.

- Martin Evans, Little Soldiers founder and CEO
