Legend of the Rangers Preview Up

Mongoose
I didn't notice when this went up for people to look at, so in case anyone else missed it...

Just one thing of note. According to its description it is a hard cover with "0" pages and it's like 29 dollars. :D I don't think you have stealth material in it. Could you please tell us about how many pages are in it. :)

The pdf pre-copy that I have is 96 pages.

All of the Stealth info in the book can only be seen by Vorlons, so...we should be safe. :)

Cheers,
Bry

Bought it yesterday at the Open Day and read it last night, I found it to be very useful, especially as it gives a great deal of adventure ideas for running a Ranger campaign post 2261.

Anything about the Hand or other threats to the Rangers post Shadow War?

Oh, yes, there is plenty of stuff on the Hand, their background, their aims and their technology.

There is also story lines sketched out for the period 2261 - 2281 and some story ideas.

The book is worth getting just for the updated 2nd Edition on the Rangers and their equipment alone.

I might be interested in getting this book... don't suppose anyone can entice us with more goodies from the book? :P

Got the book and its a great read, like the take on it and I think my only complaint about it was its short like the Lurkers Guide to Telepaths but the material ie excellent.

But, I do have one question which relates to something within the Darkness and Light book. Spoilers relating to both so those who don't want to see, turn away.

Legends of the Rangers factbook says the Hand are a First One species made of energy and had been around for sometime. Yet the Darkness and Light book mentions a group called the Hand who are the servants of the Thirdspace Invaders. Are there two Hands or is this a 'retcon' or are the Hand mentioned in Legends of the Rangers something that evolved from the Hand in the Thirdspace War? Will this be addressed in the Thirdspace book?

Also loved the mention of the Kirishiac War and added further motivations on how that conflict was so devastating
.
