Lance Corporals

Yep, during my NATO time it was L/Cpl. LC would have been either a
landing craft or a line of communication (rarely both ...). :wink:

USMC:
LCpl = Lance Corporal
Lt. Col = Lieutenant Colonel
(http://www.defenselink.mil/specials/insignias/enlisted.html )

US Army has no Lance Corporal rank, using instead Private First Class. LTC is Lieutenant Colonel

Yah WiccanPedia says LCpl now, previously L/Cpl for UK use.

So does the Royal Army Website...

(Note that http://www.army.mod.uk/welfare-support/family/3696.aspx doesn't show abbreviations for the officer ranks...)
