Jump Train

The Highport and a corporate-owned Transfer Station are different things.

The Jump Train might decide that it is more efficient to go through a poor quality starport system. Rather than upgrade the imperial starport, the Megacorp finds it more 'efficient' to build their own facility. No one else can use it. Free traders would have to go past this huge, shiny high-tech Class B private starport with a dozen ships docked and land on the planet with it's Class-E starport...
 
Sorry, this actually isn't the right forum for discussing the economics of the Jump Train in this level of detail. Designing the ships using HG2 IS right for this forum.

May I respectfully suggest that we move the economics discussion over to the main Traveller Forum? The idea of a Jump Train within the 3I setting is quite an interesting one, separate from the design system being used.
