Jump point

Last night in a campaign we are running the ISA player used a Blue Star to initiate opening a jump point. In the same turn the Minbari fired on same Blue Star and caused a crit that gave no special actions. Would this negate the Blue Star from opening the JP or once the action has started does it continue? We played it that the Blue Star could still use the JP but in more firing he was destroyed which made the discussion moot. Wanted a clarification as to what others have done in the past if this point has come up. Thanks in advance.

if he loses SAs he cannot jump as the point hasnt formed yet in theory. its initiate jump point for the order.

As soon as a ship loses it's ability to perform SAs it instantly loses the effects and restrictions of any SA it has attempted. There are times when this can be advantageous.

Consider it an intellectual exercise to figure out what they are.
