jump point entry,

when i activate an ajp i know i can hold it open up to 3 turns, but what i want to know is.......
when i activate it is that my turn done for that ship, or
1. can i activate it and come through on the same turn when i want for its turn

2. activate it and come through next turn

3. activate it and come though straight away
 
No jump points/gates can be used the turn they are initiated. Though you can start using it the next movement phase provided the ship generating it (if not a gate) continues to use the IJP! SA.
 
IIRC, You can can move through a jump point from hyperspace on the turn it's created, just not a jump point to hyperspace.
Assuming that you're trying to jump from hyperspace, you open the jump point as part of the ship's movement. If it doesn't move through the jump point immediately, its movement ends, and it doesn't get another chance until next turn.
 
oops, so i can open it and come straight through in one movement (from hyperspace) or wait up to 3 turns ahead.
