Judge Dredd & Strontium Dog

I got my copy of Strontium Dog ysterday and gave it a quick look over. I don't know thing one about the universe and background setting, though looking at the art I noticed a striking similarity between the SD outfits and those that the Judges of the Judge Dredd universe wear.

Both comics were created by the same artist, Carlos Ezquerra, so simi-
larities are hardly surprising, I think:

Ezquerra and John Wagner managed to capture lightning in a bottle, not once, but twice, first with Dredd, and then with Strontium Dog.

The mega-epic Judgment Day, which brought Johnny Alpha and Judge Dredd together, was a masterpiece, and one of my all-time favourite mega-epics next to Necropolis.

Just a FYI both SD and JD were very popular in the UK, but for some reason they never hit it big here in the US. Now I tried for a while and collected JD but it just didn't hold my interest for more than a year or so.

SD/JD are next on my list of things to branch out into. Must admit to having more of a soft spot for JD though, he was always my favourite in 2000AD, well him and ABC warriors oh and Rogue Trooper of course

Maybe I'm going off-topic here, but a 'doghouse roster' might be handy to see here on the forum. Post a brief description/char sheet of your Stronts, as 'guest stars' for other to mention. After all, Johnny knew quite a few other S/D agents (Doberman, Spud Murphy, Sideways Smith), even if WE didn't...
