Judge Dredd Event - April 6

That sounds a workable date for me :D

Next question is how 'serious' a tournament this would be or whether it would be a good place for a noob to learn the game (I'd read the book first - promise  )

Our tournaments are never that serious - so long as you have all the basic rules together, your opponent is very likely to help you out!

Okay, we are looking at a variety of scenarios to challenge you all. Forces will be 500 points, with likely 200 points allowed for choices from the Mercenary lists. We may even let you choose the Mercs once you know what force you are facing, so you can have something different in every game, if you fancy.

Now, what about time limits in the game? Two experienced gamers with simple forces can get a 500 pointer done in half an hour. I am thinking an hour-ish per game, will allow for more complex forces and people getting to know the rules.

Sound about right?

I've been running lots of games recently and I've been running new (as in brand new, never played before) players through games in just over an hour, so that should be plenty of time for people who already know the rules.

With any luck (very busy at the moment!) we should have the tournament pack and tickets available next week!

Excellent at the game last night I came up with an awesme idea for a gang:

The Valkryies - Fattie Heroes with jetpacks

Ride of the Valkyries music as Brunhilda and her equally well built companions swoop down on your ptitifully thin gang members ;)

Oh and I think it would make a fantastic new model :) 8)

If your force has a total value of less than 500 credits, presumably you get the credit difference between you and your opponent to spend on mercenaries as normal in addition to the 200 "bonus" credits?
