My FLGS has the Pirates of Drinax Slipcase listed as available.

It has the EAN number.: 9781908460615

Is this version using the Mongoose Traveller 2 rules or is it for the old edition?

That is the most recent edition, which was published for MgT2. The first edition of PoD was, as far as I know, a publication offered in multiple episodes of free PDFs only.
