Something I have been confused on, what is the point of the intelligent weapon add-on listed on page 144 of CSC2e? what can you do with computer 0/1?

Combine with Specialised Computer to run real software, e.g. Intelligent Interface + Expert for a +DM. Or a target recognition database. Or make it annoying by talking to you: "Miss, you have two more rounds in the magazine."

Apart from the obvious targeting, aiming and stabilisation applications, I think that's pretty much why it's there. It'll have to connect to battle dress, eye visor radars, drones, and what not, and the whole setup will be one integrated system with modular components.

Are you talking about networking the weapon with another computer here?

No, I assume that as the Intelligent Weapon option is a computer it can use regular computer options, such as Specialised Computer (CSC, p105) to gain a higher computer rating for some specified software, and hence run useful software.

So, a TL11 Intelligent Weapon with Specialised Computer twice would have a processing rating of 2 for some specified software.
