Mongoose should consider seriously Infinity. The game started as an RPG, but morphed into an skirmish wargame. It's an award winning game in the fields of game mechanics and sculpting (miniatures), and with an increasing number of players.

When I said that it started as an RPG it was never official, it' was a sci-fi world created by their DM based on another sci-fi game (maybe cyberpunk). Then it evolved into a commercial wargame. But the material developed by the original players remains (in spanish) and keeps growing, slowly, but it's there.
On the spanish forum they have expressed their desire of developing the RPG version of infinity but money and time keep them away from fully working on the project.
