Imperium Map?

Hi all, I was wondering if there's a map of the Imperium anywhere on the 'net.

At one point I think I ran across one that acted like Google maps but I can't find it again.

HI

Hard to use that one, you can't print off the whole map and sectors are hard to find if you are not a long time player who knows whats were.

I have managed to print a subsector as a trial but cannot get a good print of the galaxy.

Here you could find a simpler map, with both ascii and java view modes; subsectors should be quite printable with it.

Those UWPs are going to be off, right? Unless I misunderstood, MGT is placed at the turn of the centruy ~1100ish? That would mean the tech levels on this map (and the first link as well) would be well below the era MGT is set in.

I could be way wrong but I thought I'd looked at these map TLs and found them to not match.

You are correct about the TL's, just by looking at Sword Worlds Subsector the "Metal" systems are incorrect for the 1105 time period.

Best bet here is to use the Supp 3 references.

Captain, are you using the "Search" feature located in the mid to lower right section of the page? I found it really useful.

I haven't tried printing anything but you may want to experiment with the different "Style" modes at the top right.

Atlas works really well. Also, to print just a sector or subsector requires use of the API

Antares SubSector of Antares Sector, in atlas format

The above link uses this url: http://www.travellermap.com/Poster.aspx?sector=Antares&subsector=K&options=2935

Info on this API function can be found here. Of note for printing is the scale option.

These UWPs depend on the source they came from. Spinward Marches are based on CT-S3 and thus are for 1105 which is more or less when MGT takes place. Deneb, Vland, Lishun and Corridor are from The Travellers' Digest and possibly MT-Era (Corridor refers to Strephon's Worlds) and thus at least a decade after default MGT. The Solomani Rim is from CT-S10 and thus set in 1108 Imperial (5629 AD Solomani) and thus also pretty close to MGT's defaults. Diaspora and Daibei are clearly MT.

For the most UWPs aren't gonna change too much from the classic era. But then again anything that hasn't been published and considered cannon is free game. For the most part half a dozen sub sectors is generally enough to run an entire game in.

Remember games tend to eat up more time than a lot of people figure, long trips start eating up months and years before y'all realize it.

I've got the original Black and Red map on my office wall. (It is 22"x 17" )

If you really need it I can scan it in for you.

This is the back cover of a Fanzine I ran across. I am of the opinion that it is better than the red on black.
