And of course, Trolls and trolkin, militia and mercenarys, and scorpionmen and broos as well.

Anybody else have a use for them??

I do.

We (Sceaptune Games) have got a "Duck Friends and Foes" coming out within the next two weeks. It's not quite the same as foes as many of the more senior characters have a bit more background and detail, but many of the others are similar (watch, guards, toughs, thugs, fishermen, etc).

Thank you. And yes, other species are in the pipeline, as are generics (warriors, for example).

I am wary about duplicating work that Mongoose are doing themselves, especially they've already announced Aldryami and Dragonewts as well as doing the Uz. And Friends and Foes based on such will almost certainly infringe on MP copyright/IP (it being non-OGL).

I was looking at a non-Gloranthan trolls, one though.

Oh, yeah...I guess Glorantha would be off limits. I forgot Ducks are in the SRD. That does leave the door open for non=Gloranthan creatures. Considering that MRQ is being sold as a generic system, books with non-Glorantha/more tradtional views of trolls, evles, draws and such might be useful. A book of horse breeds (each with their own stats) could be useful to some, too.

I used things like the Innkeeper and family, and the prospecter and the tax collercter a number of times. Foes was as useful for the humans as for the monsters.

Yes I can do an innkeeeper, but sometimes I need one quick and unexpected or insperation fails, so just grab the book.

2 foe books that I think that would come in handy and be useful in both Glorantha and non glorantha settings would be
1) Animals. From guard dogs to big cats to the neighboring clan's ornery bull you 'uh' just tried to borrow. And in real life or runequest , do you really want to fight a Polar bear even if you do have chain mail and shield?
2)One for Seamen. This could include sailors ,pirates, marines, and dockworkers. Not to mention Priest and sorcerers who specialize in magic that useful on the ocean.
