I don't think the "it wasn't good at it" is really a very good argument. the Whitestar wasn't good at shooting outside a boresight arc.

True enough and I happen to agree with you on the whole 'WS should be Boresight' argument but I DO think it should have scout, it has Vorlon based sensors for crying out loud! (yes I know Vorlons dont get the scout trait but then Vorlons get a FREE +1 to all stealth rolls anyway and all their weapons are beams so scouts wouldnt really add much )

I'm not really that fussed on the G'Quan, it SHOULD bloody have forward arc beams, but it is the continuing "selective canon" that we see, and for whatever reason it is nearly always for the ISA.

To add some fuel to the fire, a whole fleet of Drazi Warbirds fire missiles at a Centauri fleet in season 5. Don't say they're Darkhawks because they are definitely Warbird hulls, not Sunhawk.

Sheridan, G'Kar and Franklin confrim to a court that the Centauri do not use cutting weapons (ie beams) but I bet they still have some in second ed.

Sorry but yes Scouts would help Vorlons:

re-roll for Initiative and set up, lower stealth (yes they have +1 so do the Shadows and they do have scouts) they can still not see stealthed ships suprisingly often. And of course jump point bombing - but let not go there.
