Hypothetically casting A:2089 the movie

First off leyt me be clear, this is a completely hypothetical exercise, AFAIK noone is making a movie of A:2089.

However, if they were, who would you cast in the roles. Remember, the characters are multinational so let's try and get Brits playing Brits, Yanks playing Yanks, etc. Or at least someone who can pull off the accent convincingly.

It probably helps if you've read the novel :lol:

'Shotgun' Mike Halsey = Simon Pegg
Lady Elizabeth Sinclaire = Dame Judi Dench (The character is a good bit younger than her I thikn but I honestly can't think of anyone who would pull it off better
Michelle Sladkhov = Claudia Christian
Jon Krater = Nathan Fillion
General Lavalle = Tcheky Karyo
Davie Carter = Kevin McKidd

Other characters to consider
Andy Palmer
Alison Philbrey
The Jewish sniper who's name escapes me
And his brother

Lady Elizabeth - hmm isn't she young and beautiful but now hardened by war (its not the years its the mileage)- a former socialite who found she was so much more when the war began ....drink problem not withstanding.

sooo Pretty Actresses who can do fiesty upper class gals with problems - plenty out there................

Lena Hedley again? Sophia Myles, Keira............Kate B (any excuse)?
 
Not Lena, too young and hot, by the second novel Sinclaire's beauty is fading for reasons I'm not sure I'm allowed to divulge.

Much as I favour Kate Beckinsale for, well, anything really, I'm not sure about that.

Simon Pegg as Mike Halsey? Not sure about that. I can see him as John Krater, but not as Halsey.

That doesn't mean it wouldn't work.
 
How about Tricia Helfer ?

Her Cylon no 6. with an English accent would I think have a feel the right balance between looks and steel beneath the velvet glove?

Yes I think in the last 3 years my ideas would have changed about who plays who, I'll need to rethink this at some point. I agree with you about Pegg.
