HYBORIAN POEMS. FUN + serious new rhymes

THE TOWER OF LUST

From far below Kush
through thick jungle and bush
as i tried to escape further
he chased me with a fervour.

He was aroused by my scent
his pursuit would not relent.
the Stygian border guards were slain
as he nearly caught me again.

As the huge Tower of Thoth-Amun i climbed
he was grunting and following just behind.
his head loomed over the top and his eyes did glow
my bosom was heaving, i had nowhere to go.

In his mighty power i froze
as he gently tore off my clothes.
my wind-blown hair was a mess
as i felt his leathery caress.

Held upside down by my ankles and licked by his huge tongue
my flesh tingled and shuddered, the horrible end had begun?
i heard a deep Stygian voice shout a booming command
then sparkling magic energy gave me release from the big hand!

I was caught in the arms of a familiar guy
as he swooped in on his mount and away we did fly!
below us we heard the most furious roar
as high above the tower we did majesticly soar.

My thighs gripped tight round the neck of the big bat-like flyer
as Thoth laughed like a maniac and took me up higher.
Thoth got his reward, together our bodies did rub
we became the first members of the 'mile high club'! :lol:

Many more Stygian troops he did slay
as back to his jungle, Konga stomped away.
although his enormous primate love for me was tragic
would i re-visit Konga some day and kiss him with magic? :wink:

The sword whirling Warrior waded straight in
with glaring blue eyes and fierce snarling grin.
foes were butchered like cattle
in this crazed flesh-torn battle
he triumphed with blood and gore up to his chin.

A big tough Cimmerian killer
saw that pulp mags needed a filler.
he was soon a best seller
for an inspired Texan fella.
all his tales are still a big thriller. 8)

What does a wild MONGOOSE do when it's bored
does it go teasing that big Lion that roared?
with Cobras it has great timing
but has it got talent for rhyming?
does it live by its word or by its sword? :wink:

[ 3 more limmericks by me ] :)

Yeah, this one is great.

My PC obstinately refuses to give URL link :evil: so I'll just transcribe it there.
This is more a Celtic taunt than a poem (or we could say it's a poetic insult) and it addresses to Drunes people.

Now I understand better
why they had to cover
what I thought was their face.
What a disgrace!

Because today as they are now uncleanly shaven
We can identify without doubt in these heathen
that they have an arse in place
of their face.

Let's drink a toast to that Texan Seer
in his still adventurous 100th year.
let him hear you shout and cheer
as you celebrate with wench and beer!

Not a cowboy, doctor, or a librarian
he wrote of our favourite barbarian
Conan the big warrior Cimmerian.

From Texas to Aquilonia he was King
the first Sword and Sorcery he did bring
of his creations forever we shall sing!

WE SALUTE ROBERT E. HOWARD. 8)

~~ NOT CARVED BY MAN ~~

An Octopus figure-head of slimey black wood
was cursed by the crew and portended no good?
in the sudden sea storm, lightning hit its head,
tentacles moved and demon eyes glowed bright red.
it left the deck swilling in bone pieces and blood,
only a crimson skull grinned where the captain had stood!

Something steered the galleon true back to port,
rumour said the crew died when pirates were fought?
the ship was cleaned up and new crew were hired
but all those aboard felt doomed and so tired.
at the ominous black shape the Bosun did blink,
the figure-heads eye seemed to open and wink?

The Bosun was flogged for being drunk on duty
as the Captain admired the carven Octopus beauty.
when past the Barachan Isles they drank a rum toast.
they were last seen drifting off the bleak Pictish coast.
a hooded black stranger stalking Tranicos bay
stroked a black wood Octopus on the beach where it lay... :wink:
~~~~~
[ tis rumoured that a race of Deep Ones carved + enchanted this figure-head as a surprise gift for a buxom Atlantean Necromancer who had cheated them. her fine ship came back bloody + empty. the evil black figure would not burn, so the Priests of Mit-Ra took it far out to sink it in deep ocean. they were never seen again!
poem by Buxom Sorceress c.2006.] :)
Can I try? :)
When mighty Conan to Stygia went,
he found a maiden, with which he spent
some time alone on naked fun.
But when he told her he had to run,
she used dark magic and lotus flower
to drug our hero under her power.
So he became her slave in joy:
obedient, mindless sexual toy.
And it would last until this day,
if she gave orders in other way,
than one she used when she had said:
"Oh, come now, slave, into my bed
and do the job you're best fit for".
And so rushed Conan with furious roar.
He took her head, struck fine and true,
for this is what Cimmerians do.
Then spells collapsed, he left the land,
with wind in hair and sword in hand.
Be careful what you wish or cast:
your wish or spell may be your last.
So have all of you chosen not to post
To the forum that needs it most
Our neglected threads of Conan Fan Fiction
Where a few of us place our best dictation
I deplore such wasteful spending
Of poems and stories that are ending
Amoung the common threads found here
In this forum and for which I fear
We may never draw out the best
And this may eventually prove a test
Of whether Conan Fan Fiction should continue
If no one cares for this change of venue
So bring on your new rhyming battle-cries
of swords and sorcery and monstrous lies.
of cities and ruins with a haunting stench
and the bawdy charms of a buxom wench.
My lovely sorceress... :D
Remembering your last Christmas gift, I want now Christmas everyday.
But I also keep December, 27th because it is a symbole of my divine power (that why I am king after all).
More seriously (is it?) I like when rhymes also contain ideas. Epic sagas of old (Greek and Nordic among other) were written in rhymes. It conveys a flavour that text does't have.
