Hummers AWOL

they are substantualy over sized though, and its evan more evident when you put them next to a tank.

QFT! While in the pics they look pretty good compared to your troops, the tanks which are already borderline looking smallish, will get dwarfed by these. Too bad to, as they look wonderful.

yeah i love the fact the bigger ones have opening doors and such, just a shame about scale :(

a good test is a fig with base removed should approx be the same hieght as a hwwmv, as mongoose used their staff as referance and thats apparently why a few of the figs work out to be 6'-6'2" there tall guys in mongoose and the UK

At 6'4" 205 lbs, I'm okay with Mongoose's scale for the minis!

Having a horrible time finding Humvees the right scale here in the US and on Ebay. If you have a link please drop me one. Seems 1/72 is too small for Hummers but perfect for aircraft and tanks. Thanks for the help!
Doesn't this one look good?
(scale is 1:64)

They "look" right compared to the figs - that they look small compared to the tanks only emphasizes the fact that the Mongoose vehicles are TOO SMALL! despite arguments to the contrary.

No it doesn't look good :!: :!: :!: - if you've ever been in/near a hummer you'd know its too small. :x

I am not a SCALE NAZI - you are free to use whatever you like - its ok by me - just don't tell me that your tangerine is a grapefruit 8)

Scale has always been a problem in war games. Games Workshop has a full line of miniatures out of scale. For example the oversizes swords or the Rhino sitting next to Space Marines. I like realism as much as the next guy when it comes to scale but if its close enough, its fine with me. That said, I would of liked to see the Evo vehicles a tad bigger but they are still nice.

They are at 1:64 scale, the supposed MGP scale, so they should be in the standard size.

Most of the time, the MGP vehicles and tanks seem to be a bit on the small size to me, related to the figures.

But one aspect that people seem to forget is the height of the base of figures. They make a difference when standing up near a vehicle.

In case of the Hummer, when the figures were standing near like in the pictures something seems a bit off, but if you compensate for the height of the base of the figures things look a bit better (comparing with a real live picture of a soldier standing up near a Hummer)

Yep, I'd like to see the Hummvee up on a stand as well to really compare grapefruits to grapefruits (very funny btw dsfrank  ). Although, it is my belief it will still be a tad small, because it is my understanding the the MGP stuff is 1/65 scale, not 1/64, which is really bizarre because 1/64 should be bigger still. *shrug*

Believe me the 1/48 Walmart ones work just fine. Find something better for $5.00/E...I think not!

The base on the mini helps. And we have to use it so it makes it work. I'll fix it when they fix the tank sizes.
