How do I do Daleks in EVO?

why can't the doctor go back in time and kill the daleks before hey kill all the time lords? and if the daleks can jump around in time why don't they do the same?

Something about not being to mess with your own timeline...

in the old series he usually couldn't choose where he ended up but these days he can. maybe those dragon things that turned up at the church when rose saved her dad would turn up again, but surely the time lords would be able to dea with it? other problem of affecting your own timeline is that seeing how the doctor doesn't die he should be a lot more careful than he usually is.

I get the impression that both the Daleks and Time Lords were wiped out of existence - past, present and future. Hence, Time War and not just regular war.

More like they were wiped out to the point where they effectively do not, did not, and will not exist, but their actions still remain.

New dalek (and other Who related figures) are now available. I picked up 2 of the 7 packs and 2 of the 3 packs and ended up with a respectable 7 daleks; 1 Sec (leader), 3 standard and 3 assault (they have a claw instead of a plunger). the figures are listed as 35mm, but the Daleks look OK. The Cybermen look suitably imposing too. ALl of the figures have quite a thick base that could easily be removed.

Also, the Doctor did try and go back and destroy the Daleks before they became a threat in "The Genesis Of The Daleks", a classic Baker era arc. Rumor has it that the constant meddling of the Time Lords was the reason for the Time War. Apparently the 7th Doctors destruction of Skaro with the Hand of Rassilon was regarded as the opening shot in the war between the Time Lords and the Daleks (Russel T Davis confirmed in the 2007 Doctor Who Annual). With the destruction of Galifrey and the Time Lords, and the Daleks, there is nobody left to "police" the timestream, so paradoxes can happen again, and are left to nature to fix.

Plus, the doctor can't interact with his own timeline, or isn't supposed to, due to the Blinovitch Limitation. Also known as a plot device or McGuffin :)

The above link it too a DW tabletop Game, home made, but stunning, and wished it was a real, ready to buy product..

If you have a look at the rules, you find daleks stats etc, so you can compair with other who units, and then try and get the EVO feel for them.

Nice rules, can be used for x-files, or a "Thing type game", along the lines of "Legends of the West "..

The 10th doctor pdf, has the time war daleks, you need to hit them first, then weapon str Vs Def, i think a smg needs a 6 on a d6 to destroy, but then the dalek shell can roll a 4+ to stop it, and then add the Shields of 3+ to stop that if the armour fails..!!!

If you can bring down the shields you have a chance..., or just fight the Grey daleks..!!!

Happy Reading
