House Rules

Not everyone likes to play the game the same way, so I was just curious to see if anyone has come up with some interesting House Rules for the game during their campaigns or one-offs.

A rule that we recently have discussed and implimented is a small change to Melee.

In the book, a Malee action allows you to move and attack at the same time, well what we were seeing is EVERYONE taking surf boards/Jet packs to do 15/20" charges into melee, now combine that with Dance of death and you can get all over the board in one round.

NOT COOL!

So to balance it out a bit more, we stated that anyone WANTING to make a melee action cannot move farther than their "printed base Move Stat". This still allows the Surf board people to move 20" and stop 4" away from an opponent. While still taking their second action to engage in melee.

What we've found is that it gives a little more importance to the Move stat in general, as well as allowing players with "Alert Status" to get a chance to take down the attacker before he goes in and mops up.

So, what are some of your "House Rules" that you have used in your hometowns?
