HG2e Adv. Manufacturing: Already Modified?

Space stations can have manufacturing plants, and as the TL increases, so does productivity—I'm assuming due to more automation.

However, does that rule apply to advanced manufacturing plants?

The book says that "[a]t TL10, advanced technology doubles the amount of goods produced by a plant while halving the crew needed…"

The advanced plant, though, is already TL10. Does the numbers in the table already take into account the x2/x0.5, or do we need to adjust the numbers listed?

I would assume the modifier is not included in the table. But that is just a guess.

Good catch.

My thoughts are that improved technology will already be applied once advanced manufacturing rolls out. If you wanted it to show up separately, then maybe you make advanced manufacturing a prototype so you can get it at TL 9 (but it'll cost 6x as much).

For the record, applying improved manufacturing methods and automation was an option in supplement 14 starbases. You could at appropriate TLs, pay extra to upgrade production. I'm guessing that was taken out for HG2e because it added another layer of complications.
