Here's some alternative freighters

Here are some alternative freighters that I picked up at Origins.

I needed some Armed Priority Transports and Free Trader, but they were not available yet.

So I picked up these:

L side is a Ravenstar Studios "Zeon" substituting as a Armed Priority Transport/Armed Cutter.
L Center is a Iron Wind Metals "Inazuma Corvette (20-196)" as a Free Trader/Prime Trader - I have not yet decided if I want to modify the mini yet.

R Center is a Klingon F5.
R side is a Starline 2500 Large Freighter.

Looks like some good stand ins with the offical minis still in limbo. I'd love to see them painted up.

The Zeons have pretty heavy flash, and need substantial cleanup work, unfortunately.

The metal Free Trader mini, has great detail, with very minimal flash. I wish the Mongoose minis were so cleanly cast. :?

I ordered some Corsec bases to go with my civilian ships. I want to get the minis closer to the map so they don't tip so often, plus I am hoarding the remaining stock of ball and sockets for my warships. I HATE the new bases; I will not glue my minis to a stand as it greatly complicates transport.

I picked up a pair of these to kitbash into Heavy Freighters. Remove the side pods, attach 4 large standard size pods.

These are Ravenstar Zeon miniatures, painted up as Federation Armed Priority Transport/Armed Cutters.

The phaser bumps aren't 100% correct, but they'll do fine.

Very nice work and find. One day I want to put together a convoy mission (but that day is very far in the future).
