Is there any tutorial on how to draw symbols , for example on banners?

Draw the symbol or whatever in pencil first, then paint it...

If you can draw the symbol then why not paint it I say :wink:

The long version:

Draw symbol on paper. (It's possible to draw the design many times life size and reduce it's scale using a photocopier or a scanner/printer)
Attach paper to a flat board (a book is good for this).
Lightly varnish the paper, to both seal the pencil lines and provide a less porous surface to paint on.
Paint the design.
Cut out banner etc with a scalpel.

This is/was the method employed by GW 'Eavy Metal painters.

And if banner is metallic and attached to miniature?

Ummm. I just paint the design on, in a logical way...

But... for example if you were doing say a Starship Troopers MI standard bearer...

Paint the background colour over the whole flag; in this case green...
Paint the white circle and the diagonals in white.
Over the white leaving a border paint the blue interior.
Paint the inner 'Eagle' and diagonals in white.

If you told me what the design was I could break down the pattern/design into the logical painting order for you if you so wished... Or just break it down yourself in a logical way...

Making it all sharp and crisp as a design, well that's just practice.
