Hawkmoon store date?

A quick question...Hawkmoon is listed with the 18th as 'distributor on sale date'. Does this mean the book is on sale in stores on the 18th or available to be shipped to stores by the wholesaler on the 18th, or what? :?
 
Typically my flgs gets them 1-2 weeks after the published on sale date - though I still haven't got my Players Guide.

Big mail order shops seem to have them within about a week after the published date.
 
Thanks. A salesman at a local game shop said he could do a 5 dollar discount and I wanted to know how long a wait it would be, versus ordering it from Noble Knight. Needed a translation from the Mongeese.
 
Just curious if anyone knew any more definitive information regarding the store date of Hawkmoon. The guy at my local game store had no idea about it. Thanks!
 
I have not yet actually seen it, but my FLGS seems to have it in store :) I'll have to go and check it out today...
 
Hmm... I didn't see it there although web pages say that there should be plenty there. Maybe they just ran out of the copies from shelves and they have more in store? I dunno...
 
Both Orcs Nest and Leisure Games in the UK have announced they are getting stock for June 18th. So, I expect other UK game stores will probably get their's around the same time.
 
You guys are making me jealous. I live in the states and have no hope of seeing this book for a while and this book and Slaine are the two I'm really looking forward to. SO can you guys do me a favor and once someone gets a hold of it post your thoughts of it so that when I get my copy I won't be drolling all over it. :)
 
I did have my gamestore friend tell me the book is expected this week, probably tomorrow. If I get it in the next few days I will post my impression. This is a make or break purchase for me as far as Mongoose goes, so I want to see it asap. I am going to start a game next month, and it will be this or CoC.
 
Yep, it was in the store today :) I took a look at it, but I didn't buy it (for now). It seemed quite nice, though from the quick look that I had...
 
I am really eager tosee how this came out. Though Mongoose was clever with it, doing Hawkmoon first (The old Hawkmoon book was propably one of the weakest Chaosium games)

Elric will be the real test of fire.
