Now, where are these pictures from? A book?

Like it is said in the first post, it's from the GM's screen for the French version of the LWRPG. Gary Chalk made a lot of pictures for the French editor of the RPG, including its cover.

That is a very nice screen Gary Chalks Artwork has got better with the years. I wonder if Mongoose have any plans for a screen for the new RPG? If not maybe fans could knock one together. With the relatively simple rules you could get most of the rules on the screen, it would save the GM having to refer to the books at all. 8)

And yet for some reason we're still stuck with the cartoony pen & ink drawings for the english edition :(. I suppose Gary's artwork might not appeal to the modern target audience at the moment.

Myself I've always thought of Gary Chalk's artwork as overall timeless, and it would appeal to an audience of any age.

I think the same. It would be very nice to have his drawings in the new edition of the books. I don't want to seem offensive, but IMO Gary's artwork is remarcable better than all the others.
Could we expect to have his work back?

What I like about Gary Chalk's artwork is that, while it's very stylised, it actualy looks similar to medieval illustrations and that sort of made it really fit into the old Lone Wolf books (because it sort of portrayed the way Lone Wolf would see things as opposed to the way a modern mind would take them in).
