Gladius Tournament 29th September - B5

Legionnaire

Mongoose
Deeside Defenders and Firezone Events have a large Tournament on 29th September at Broughton, nr Chester. There will be a number of events running including a B5 Tournament (2nd Edn if its out!). The website is http://www.gladiusshow.com/ and you can signup there as well.
The Broughton Venue is stunning and the Event is aimed more at players, tournaments, demo's, etc with a small number of traders. In short, it's all about the games.
Please visit our website for further details as it is being updated regularly.

I'm interested, but I would need to know a little bit more before I sign up.

Exactly where is the event? How difficult is it to get to? A map, maybe a multimap link, would be useful.

What time does it start?

What is the tourney format?

What facilities are on site, such as food?

Just a few suggestions for your site.

I'd echo these sentiments exactly :)

Ok guys, we have been working on the website, still more to do but if you take a look you´ll see a load more details.
We are still to confirm our Judge for the event and that it will be 2nd Edition, not first (this depends largely on whether 2nd Ed has hit the shelves before this date). There will be the standard 3 Rounds of 5 pts Raid and the only stipulation is no Ships in Hyperspace hence no Jump Bombs as those appear to be a major bone of contention right now we´re going to avoid them and stick to players giving each other a royal pasting on the Battlefield.
The venue is amazing, it has a full cafeteria and fully stocked bar as well as enough room for around 300 tables! It is the home of Deeside Defenders at Broughton, nr Chester and there is now a map link on our website.
This event is very much aimed at a lot of people playing a lot of games and there are a number of demonstration games there as well, if you´d like to volunteer to run something please pm me to discuss arrangements.
Otherwise, we hope to see many of you there on the day.

Any thoughts on this yet? wnyone going, pondering going, definately not going? can it get stickied?

depends on whether second ed makes release date or not!

I believe it was on another post you ,must have missed.

2nd ed, 5 point raid, NO Hyperspace to avoid anger over JP bombing. and the usual scenario type. I think Terrain is a must, so i'll make sure they bring some

Well, i've registered for the ACTA tourney on their web page, but I appear to be the only one! I know Greg and Charles (aka.Da Boss) have expressed an interest but nothing concrete by anyone else...
Sound's like it might be the perfect venue (cos' there's a BAR!!!)
