Gypsy Knights Games

Cosmic Mongoose
Ships of Clement Sector 6: Jinsokuna Chirashi-class Yacht is now available at this link from DTRPG!

Gypsy Knights Games is proud to present the sixth entry in our line of products dedicated to the starships of Clement Sector.

The Jinsokuna Chirashi-class (literally translated to English as "Swift Flyer") yacht is a vessel first created by Hiruna Kabushiki shipyards which orbit Earth's moon in the early 2200s. Since then, the ship's design has been used for a wide variety of purposes including as a luxurious yacht, a pirate marauder and a light escort ship. However, it is probably best known as the basis for the Star Hawk, the ship used by the title character in the popular holovid series Superpirate!.

The Jinsokuna Chirashi-class yacht is a perfect ship for player characters. This sleek 400-ton ship has a crew of six and is ideal for any group of trouble shooters, smugglers, pirates or even a wealthy character with his/her entourage. Four variants are provided here: The opulent Swift Flyer yacht, the dangerous Vulture-class pirate marauder, the fearsome Wolf-class light escort and the popular Star Hawk as seen on Superpirate!

Ships of Clement Sector 6: Jinsokuna Chirashi comes complete with beautiful views of the each of the variants. Each variant is presented with full deckplans and statistics to make your use of our product simple, easy and fun. In addition, each variant comes with a set of adventure hooks to get your characters right into the action.

Though designed specifically with our Clement Sector setting in mind, the Jinsokuna Chirashi could easily be used in any Traveller setting.

Get on board! Adventure awaits!

Aye, she's a beauty, with those sleek yet aggressive lines!

The Swift Flyer is a perfect ship for the rich and powerful, the government or megacorporation or the independent opportunity-seeker*

*Yeah, that'd be pirates, corsairs and raiders.

With 16 staterooms - plus two large suites - There's plenty of room for all your noble drinking buddies and their servants, your important business associates or your fellow marauders, depending on personal taste. As the included alternate versions of the ship show, the interior can easily be reconfigured for other duties. Sacrifice the large common room to make room for some barracks, or perhaps replace some state rooms with labs, armories, or whatever might be needed.

The baseline ship offers a solid foundation to build from, with decent thrust, protection, hull size and armament, and the model could easily be reconfigured for a multitude of roles. Apart from the ones included in the book, I could imagine it'd work great for mercenaries or small Spec-ops units. I kinda wanna slap on a coat of stealth paint, name the ship Normandy and play a mass effect-like campaign - or why not introduce it in the third imperium setting, Vargr corsairs are gonna love it!

Nice touch with the fictive tv show, giving us action characters as sample crew and plot hooks in the shape of episode synopsis made for some fun reading, now I wanna watch Superpirate!

Overall I'm quite fond of this yacht, great work! I only have one question.. Won't the sloping bridge interfere with the majestic view from the lounge?

If you have a look at the front view of the Swift Flyer, you can see those lounge windows under the bridge :)

Hmm, yes, and that would mean the main hull parts of middle deck floor is lower than in the booms? Or perhaps just the lounge?

Ah we'll, not really important. Lovely ship!
