Just wanted to give a quick heads-up for those of you who purchased the first edition of Grand Safari (the one created for MgT1e). You should check your "updated products" section on DTRPG/RPGNow.

You should find the updated and improved version there free of charge. This new book now fits with our Clement Sector game and is compatible with Cepheus Engine, Universal Machine, and any other 2d6 based science fiction game.

For those of you who did not buy the first edition of Grand Safari, the second edition will be available on April 6.

Grand Safari, our campaign adventure into the wilds of Leonidas Sector (spinward of Clement Sector), will be available in PDF form on April 6. The adventure puts the characters in competition against the wilderness and each other as they attempt to win the Grand Safari.

The campaign also acts as a sourcebook for Hannibal Subsector with details for several worlds that serve as the locations for the competition. Grand Safari also includes NPCs, information about the Gentlemen's Club of Dashwood (the creators of the event), the creatures on these worlds, the Atlas-class ship used by the Safari members, the Oceanwave seagoing vessel, and much more.

Originally written for Mongoose 1e, this all-new version is built to be used with Clement Sector: The Rules, Cepheus Engine, Universal Machine, or any other 2d6 SF rules. If you purchased the original version in PDF or were gifted a PDF of the original for any reason, you should be able to go to the updates in your DTRPG account and get this new version absolutely free of charge.

I have bought Clement sector stuff an dthis looks great but still prefer our dear old Spinward marches - where did the first edition situate the Grand Safari and would it still be possible to buy it separate from 2nd?

Grand Safari has always in been in the Clement Sector setting rather than the OTU. In both versions of this book, the adventure took place in Hannibal Subsector of Leonidas Sector (which is to spinward of Clement Sector).

It would not be possible to do that I'm afraid.

Grand Safari also acts as a sourcebook for Hannibal Subsector. The sector is located to spinward of Clement Sector, the subsector has only been surveyed once, visited rarely, and remains untamed. It is an excellent backdrop for the Grand Safari as well as future adventures for your characters.

And what would a safari be without the animals? Grand Safari has a host of animals for your characters to encounter along with a full set of random encounter charts to aid the Referee in keeping the characters on their toes.
