[GK Games] Career Companion Now Available!

Gypsy Knights Games

Cosmic Mongoose
Now available at Drivethru RPG at this link and the d20PFSRD online store at this link!

The Career Companion expands the already rich Clement Sector setting with addition of several new elements such as uplifts and altrants. Need an uplifted dolphin to interact with your characters? Perhaps a human altered to handle toxic environments? Now you have the tools to include them in your Clement Sector adventures or even allow one of your players to create an altrant or uplift character.

Career Companion also includes eight career tracks covering national navies, system defense navies, pirates, journalists, spies, explorers and orbital construction. The Career Companion brings you our new Clement Sector themed character sheet as well.

In addition, the Career Companion delves into more detail concerning rules presented in Clement Sector concerning the wealth held by characters and the slowed aging process within the game. We also present optional rules to allow for character advancement which let your characters continue to grow long after character creation is finished.

All of this is presented with stunning artwork by outstanding artists Bradley Warnes and Ian Stead.

Of course, while all of this is aimed at our Clement Sector setting, the information presented here could easily be added to any Traveller campaign.

Expand your universe today with the Career Companion!

I'm interested in your Clement Sector, but I'd like to know a bit more about it. What "flavor" of sci-fi is it? Transhuman, hard, space opera, planetary romance or something else? Aliens or mostly humans? Idealistic like Star Trek, gritty like Firefly, weird like Farscape?

We usually refer to it as "hardish space opera". Clement Sector is on the other side of the galaxy and was, until 11 years ago, connected to Earth Sector by a wormhole called "The Conduit". The Conduit collapsed (no one yet knows why) and the worlds which were colonized there are now on their own.

There is only one interstellar polity, the Hub Federation, which consists of only six worlds in the Hub subsector. There are three other "main subsectors" (Cascadia, Sequoyah, and Franklin) and several frontier subsectors (Dawn, Dade, Superior, Winston, and Peel). All of the worlds outside the Hub Federation are independent.

There are currently no aliens. There is evidence (both solid evidence and wild supposition) of alien life having been present. The residents of Clement Sector are mainly human with a few uplifted animals on the scene as well.

Does that help a bit?

It does indeed. Uplifted animals are always a favorite of mine. I also like the whole "separated from Earth" bit.
