Or are they more like the Egyptians, or the arabs? Zamorian being moutain people. The kozaks being like todays al-quaida? lol:) Just need som basic info thats all!

Thanks!

Yes it does:)
Thanks a lot!

And if u have anymore info and input to cover the basics just lay it on me:)
I need it all!

Like if I need pictures of lets say the demi-gods or maybe just general maps of lets say a village, or a garrison. Player maps so to speak. Where do I go?

But thnks again bro!

You should take that Wikipedia table of correspondences with a big pinch of salt.

Zamora is not a straightforward analogue, even a mixed one. Part of Zamorian culture is the ancient Pre-Cataclysmic Zhemri civilization, which is an evil, alien, nonhistorical strain. The only two certain Zamorian character names are Shevatas, which de Camp speculated to be from Thevatata in Indian mythology, and Yara, which might be Russian or Lebanese or purely made up. So draw on the Roma and frontier Mexico and eastern Europe, but not too heavily.

Turanian culture is based on Turkish, Arab, Persian, melting-pot Middle Eastern generally. The Hyrkanian nomads, of which Turan is a settled offshoot, are pretty much Mongols.

Kozaks are like Cossacks, but they're raiders and mercenaries, not a whole people but drawn from many different peoples of the Hyborian Age.

Is this stuff covered in "the road of kings"?
Because Im basing some adventuring in these parts...zamora-turan-shem.
I havent picked up that book yet.
Evil cults and etc...

Thanks!

Hey thanks:)
I found this module called "lost garrison" To start of with. Seemed like a good
story to start of with as it is around those parts. A martial adventure. suitable for those parts. Suitable for a martial playing group:)

Any places I could get my hands on modules covering zamoria-turan ad possibly Shem?
Im new to conan u see:)

But thanks for the info! I'll be sure to read it right away!

I equate Zamora with Romania (including the old areas Wallachia and Transylvania, as it was conceptualized in the late 19th c./early 20th). Just my 2 cp. :D

In "conan the barbarian" Conan escapes to zamora. But in another account he is with a band of aesir helping the bands chief Njal to rescue his doughter. Now which is right? This is suppose to happen at the same time?

Your examples are from pastiches - the movie CTB and the comic Conan from Dark Horse. Nothing is 'right' except the Robert E. Howard stories that you can find in the 3 Del Rey trade paperbacks:

The Coming of Conan
The Bloody Crown of Conan
The Conquering Sword of Conan

In the U.K. The Complete Chronicles of Conan contains them all under one cover and is an excellent book as well. Read the stories - you will be very happy you did!
