Hold your horses for The Road of Kings. It will be here soon with maps that lay waste to every other map I have ever seen of Conan's world!

Boy I hope it fixes Akbitana's location, since it wasn't fixed on the partial map in the front of the Scrolls of Skelos! :x

There is a different cartographer for Road of Kings. The map is TOTALLY different - and it fixes the problems the first map (and the mock up for the ad in SoS) presented. I was so impressed with the RoK map that it knocked my socks off and I had to go barefooted all weekend because my socks wouldn't stay on!

Any chance that said cartographer followed your directives?

Honestly, you make me want this book NOW!

I haven't ever actually spoke to the artist or emailed him, but he derived his maps (and there is more than one) from my text in Road of Kings. They are stunning maps, and that is a gross understatement of how fantastic they are. Everytime I look at one of them, my socks go flying across the room. I think that when the book comes out, there will be a lot of barefooted people on the message boards from the maps alone.

My wife thinks I've gone bonkers over this game already...she will really be confused if my socks go flying too! (and I'm sure they will, Like Bilbo Baggins "I do love maps")

Okay Vince, you know what, stop it! Since I cannot have the book yet, and I already want it a ton, I am about to go insane! :P

On the other hand, now tell me a little bit more about the rest of the content? :D

I thought the map in Conan was fine, but for the aforementioned error and the map scale error - I hope you are right, because going back to the drawing board (literally!) only raises concerns for me that other errors could occur.

yup.. it's true

Most of my site is in polish but i have this map in english too... Check it out

Hi all,
as promised, here is the big version of the map for printing purposes :
http://chrysagon.free.fr/conan/Chrysagon_Hyboria_big_print.jpg
It is 4440 x 3070 pixels and almost 4Mb. Hope you all enjoy it.

A map I'd love to see would be US letter/A4-sized, black and white, showing the 'known lands' south to Stygia and east to the Vilayet, with just the geographic and political information derived from Howard's stories and maps. (Of course, a fair amount of guesswork and extrapolation would be inevitable.) Not that I'm not looking forward to the more ambitious maps in Road of Kings, but this would be a handy 'starting point' reference.
