Force Composition

Would it be safe to assume that SST:Evo will have a force organization scheme like BF:Evo? For example would I be able to have only 1 tanker for every 2 Warrior units? How many Forth Command Fighting Machines can I take per force?

I just hope they have rules for a full exo suit force.... I would be very supprised if they didn't mind.

I hope they keep the general force construction system from the first edition, actually; I liked how it made army design part of the characterization of each race. Doesn't sound likely, but oh well.

Grizzly Exos are a squad choice, so it's not like you're going to have to take LAMI or PAMI to get them.

I want Grizzlies, Cougars (any other variant exosuits if they release some) with some CHAS and UAVs.

I absolutely agree with that.

I'm not sure if you're specifically talking about the priority system as part of the force construction, but I hope they keep that as well. It helps model how the different races' forces change composition due to an escalation in hostilities. Something like a straight percentage for an army list doesn't capture that feeling.

Problem was that the PL selection gave the MI a fairly big advantage.. MI always knew tha bugs max PL whereas they could choose level 3 in a 500 point game, and buy level 3 assets at level 3 with a sicon LT.

I still like it though, made a change from that whole 2 form colum a, 1 from column b etc....

I can't see Cougars not being a squad choice as well unless they make them very specialised. CHAS and UAVs will presumably be support choices or the equivelant thereof. So if they follow the standard platoon lists in BFEvo you'll be able to take 1 support unit per squad.

I hope they keep that as well, I liked the PL system, and felt it did give advantages in PL to the MI against the bugs and Skinnies (under some circumstances) but generally they where advantages the MI needed. That said a little tinkering if MGP thought the advantages where unfair wouldn't hurt either.

Oh and I hope the Pee Wee becomes a support choice as well, so that Grizzlies (and Cougars) can get it.... Nothing like one of them for flattening a Plasma or Tanker bug, and I assume the same will go for killing the Forth.

Im probablly one of the few who think the game could use SOME force composition rules.... im a little wary of minimum sized LAMI Platoons just so my enemy can crank out missiles... same goes for PAMI...

I think they had a good system with the platoon structure, of one officer and 2 squads for most things, but maybe up it to 3 squads... and I wouldn't mind seeing support options reduced from half your points to say 750 out of 2000 points....

the PL system was cool and I liked it, but the bugs need flexibility... just let them choose PL and it solves some problems...

This could simply be fixed by having PAMI (and all other regular infantry) coming in normalised opperating squads like regular military do in BF:Evo. Maybe with the ability to buy extra fire teams. I would only think certain squads should be able to buy extra individual models. I would also imagine that MGP are going to limit certain forces to the amounts of support squads in a similar fashion to what they have done in BF:Evo.
