I was in Newcastle today and was looking forward to buying Secrets of the Ancients and Dynasty. Went into both Travelling Man and Forbidden Planet. No luck.

For Compendium 2 I ordered it from a local Waterstones and it still hasn't arrived, just over 3 weeks since I placed the order.

Has anyone else had better luck than me?

Secrets of the ANcients should hit gaming stores today if they ordered it from Esdevium. No sign of Dynasty yet

What's the thing about secrets of the ancients? I thought that was in s&p for free. Why would there be now priced one? (especially as free version seems to be still available). More contents? Something else I'm missing? Or just "book for those who like to collect books"?

Yes, the S&P is free as PDF files. So in theory someone could run a SOTA campaign using a copy of the PDFs and some kind of e-book reading capable device (e.g. Amazon Kindle etc) or printing the PDFs. If I printed all of SOTA (I was running the free version earlier on this year), I'd have to print and store it. The printed version would take up less shelf space. My netbook would suffice at a pinch but I find currently prefer the physical books.

Wasn't actually S&P, but was done as a free download.

Good news: Got Compendium 2 and Secrets of the Ancients from Travelling Man. The lass serving me said that Traveller books are becoming more popular. Am reading SOTA with a view to resuming it where we left off.
