Five New Ships for Star Fleet

We have just uploaded five new ships for Star Fleet, from the long-awaited Battle Station to new small craft for Klingons!

Are there likely to be alternate empire specific Battle Stations in the future, or do you expect it to be a low volume model and so will it just be the one generic model for all empires?

Seems some odd selections coming up. The Gorn Reinforcement box includes a generic mobile base and armed priority transport? Is this just another case of being tied to the box set contents originally released by ADB?

We're getting the OK6 before we get any of the non-unique Orion ships, or are the Raider, Light Raider and Cruiser going to be released soon, and I am just out of the loop?

Not complaints by any means (love the battle stations, BTW)! I welcome the release of any new ships for any faction. Just seems some curious choices. :?

That's actually a mix-up; the ship contents match the 2400-series Squadron Box #8.

(The 2400-series version of Squadron Box #11 looks like this instead.)

The three Orion ships from the first book are already available (from Mongoose and ADB); I got my own CR from the latter last month.

(ADB only put minis on their online storefront that they actually have available to ship; they don't bother with posting pre-orders for the Starline 2500 series.)

It seems that, as well as finishing off the first wave of minis from book 1, they are going for some of the "easy kills" from the second wave of minatures; the turnaround is easier for new ships for pre-existing empires than it is for those from empires yet to be formally published.

Something similar happened over in A Call to Arms: Noble Armada; where some of the new ships in wave 2 for the pre-existing fleets (the five Royal Houses) were put up for pre-order before some of the newer factions (like the Church or Vau).

There's still plenty of time for the bulk of wave 2 to get up and running.

The Battle Station and Large Freighter are in the core ACtA:SF rulebook already; the other three seem to be part of wave 2, and may or may not be covered by the answer Matt gave about the Mars-class Battleship and Gettysburg-class Heavy Command Cruiser over in this thread:

As for stats, we'll do them as a free PDF just before the miniatures start shipping.
