first ones questions...

hello... i am mostly an ACTA player but i was curious about something

the shadows and vorlons have a question that sumarize their perspective on life:

the vorlon ask 'who are you' thus putting someone back in his confined role.
the shadows ask 'what do you want' emphasizing their chaotic nature.

i started watching crusade and there are more of these questions.

Are they from other first ones? like "where are you going" for the traveller and so on?

can anyone link the questions to the old one and attempt an explanation?

"Where are you going?" is Lorien's (the last of the first First Ones) question. Lorien seems more of a guide than the Vorlons and Shadows. I suppose the question is to make you think about your path in the universe.
"Whom do you serve?" and "Whom do you trust?" are questions of the Technomages. These questions probably come out of the Technomage history and the origins of the order.

Tehcno Mages were created by the Shadows, to combat the Telepaths that were created by the Vorlons in the last Great Shadow War (Not the one where they went beyond the rim, the one before that) the Techno Mages of that time were serving the Shadows and wiped out all of the Narn Telepaths called Mindwalkers.

The other First Ones don't seem to use a question to identify themseves. They were focused on a single concept though, Walkers on exploration, Mindriders on communication, Triad on neutrality.

The Technomages questions might come from the fact that they were servants of the Shadows and don't know who to trust in the beginning as anyone could be a Shadow spy or a rogue Technomage might turn them in to their masters.

The mindriders taught the Vorlons telephay, THe Vorlons inturn tryed to pinch the Walkers dimention / time ship but the Walkers destroyed it before the vorlons could pinch it, and so inturn the vorlons opened a gateway into 3rdspace but were warned by the Walkers.

Interesting topic. I dont care if it is cannon or not.

But it does make sense that the technomages wiped out the narn telepaths, since they gave a blessing to one of the centauri emperors according to lorien from the series.

I dont suppose anyone can list the rpg books, 1st or 2nd ed, which cover the first ones, shadows, and vorlons et all.
