First adventure suggestions?

Apologies ahead of time if this exists in a thread somewhere and much thanks in advance for the referral(s), recommendations, etc.

So, newbie to the game here. I have the pocket edition of the rules and am itching to throw together a little introductory adventure for some members of my gaming group.

I am interested in whether or not the core (Atlantean &/or 2nd ed.) included an introductory adventure. Doesn't appear to in any of the reviews, blurbs I've read.

(Haven't gotten to the local hobby shop to page through either yet, but that'll happen if my investigations here fail and my work and family schedules permit it.)

Also, I'm interested in what other's may have done for their first adventures.

Thanks all, looking forward to any and all responses. :D

No first adventures in my version.

Has my first adventure.

The only thing that the pocket edition doesn't have compared to the 1st or Atlantean editions is the bestiary. No introductory adventures were included in the main books. There are a bunch of revisions from 1st edition (which is what the PE is based on) and AE, and the link in my signature below will get you to a summary of all the bits to "upgrade you" from merely PE to AE.

Trying to use bestiary info from of D20 books doesn't really do th etrick if you want to use Hyborian style animals anad monsters; you'll really want to get the AE for that. Otherwise, asking here for adventure seeds or links (like the one provided above) is probably the best source for a new DM. Basic adventures like treasure hunts, breaking and entering and stealing treasure, being accused of stealing the treasure and subsequently chased by bandits or soldiers...well, you can see the theme. These types of adventures just require a few generic NPC goons and a leader or target NPC. There's no need to start off with the party facing evil sorcerers and thier minions right off the bat.

Just rip off one of Conan's early adventures like the 'Tower of the Elephant' or 'Rogue's in the House', just change it up a little and you have a nice introductory game.

There are 3 or 4 low level adventures on Dr Skulls Conan site that work well. You can download everything you need. I am at work so dont have the link but there is one somewhere on this forum or googling DrSkull and conan should get you there.

The Pocket Edition also lacks the Gazateer.
