Sorry if this has been asked; I'm a newbie and tried to find it.

If a guy is using a Finesse attack and does *not* beat the opponent's DV + DR, does the opponent's full DR apply...OR...

Does the finesse attack use the weapon's AP value to, potentially, still get past the DR of the armor?

Correct. Remember though that the finessing attacker doesnt get to add their strength to the ap.
