Fighting Fantasy!

Mongoose
Hi there!

Along with Lone Wolf, this one is probably the most influential series of the gamebook industry during the 1980's. I know that Myriador intended to publish this, but as yet there is no main book.... Any thoughts as to whether Mongoose should pick this one up?

Regards,
Blue Crane

Isn't it still owned by Puffin or Penguin Books or someone similar?

http://www.fightingfantasygamebooks.com/ is the page for them just now. I remember seeing a year or two back a company had bought the rights to make the earlier one's D20 modules, but I can't remember the company's name just now. Warlock of Firetop Mountain had been converted I think, Cavern of the Snow Witch deffinatly was. I await someone else's superior google-fu to find out more.

"GOOGLE-FU" - Superb! Lol!

http://www.myriador.com/ is the site I was thinking about. More stuff there about FF converted to D20. Though I'm still waiting for Moonrunner and Legend of the Shadow Warriors to get done...

I believe Steve Jacksons Sorcery series were also converted.

I have to admit, as much as I loathe the D20 system, an updated and more complex RPG based upon Allansia would be excellent.

*Whistlfully dreams of the ol' days, playing Advanced Fighting Fantasy*
