Few questions

I have a few questions about the rule changes/game play. I played 1st edition but finding it hard to get a copy of the 2nd edition rules and fleet books.

So here are my questions


Are Centauri still very fast? They where one of the fastest if not the fastest in 1st edition just wondering if that changed.

To start playing in 2nd All I need is the rules and the fleet books right?

Yes those are the only two books that you need as of this point to play 2nd Edition. The Centauri are indeed one of the faster races if you stick to the smaller ships and avoid the Primus and Octurian, although the ISA can give them a good run for their money when it comes to speed.
