Fed heavy command cruiser

Was curious about the release plan for the fed Heavy command cruiser, id be nice to use for a fleet admiral on a 5000point + game.
 
Archon, though i am not a official mongoose person I can offer a answer here. It has been stated several times that the Heavy Command is not going to a general release item. The only way to get it is to watch for the various promotional offers throughout the year.


And just from a history point Heavy Command Cruiser is not quite as suited to be the flagship of that fleet as the Battlecruiser is. The going to probably be a Dreadnaught or a Heavy Dreadnought if not a actual Battleship.
 
Archon - It just hit me that I had the CC and CCH/CB screwed up model wise. I have not heard one peep about how they are going to distribute the CCH model but the e rest of that post is accurate you would be better of with a Battlecruiser as a Flagship but not by much =p
 
I think (but not 100% on this) that the heavy cruiser model can be used for the command cruiser (and that the default is that that one is used as model) and the special command cruiser on the promotions is only a special model [special in terms of visuals. At least if I got all forums posts right.
 
I thought the bonus model was a CC, not a CCH. The CCH was a late-war development. The CC was simply a command variant of the CA.
 
The problem is there are 3 cad models already drawn up. One is the standard Heavy Cruise (CA) which can stand in for any Heavy Cruiser varient. The second is the newly redesigned Command Cruiser (CC) model, that is the one that is avalable as a promotional item and Matt has said it is not intended for general distribution. And lastly is the Heavy Command Cruiser (CB) which started out as Sandrine's first crack at a Heavy Cruiser that though it is a awsome model, it just not what a SFU CA looks like. SVC and Matt decided to let the CB sit s year or 3 to be released.

The CB is the one that Archon was asking about I believe
 
yes sir it is. the fedcom site has it listed as a heavy command cruiser. thats why i refered to it as such. i appreciate people wanting ships that are more playable then others. but i am more then just a player i am also a collector. and this new line of ships is like crack to me i just gotta have. (except Kzinti i just dont like em) ive pretty much preordered everything else. im planning a week vacation after christmas to just base coat whatever shows up at the house. then ill do the fine details as time allows. i will say this the forums here and adb are the most civil boards ive ever posted too.

I suspect it'll be a case of "when we know, you'll know, but until then...". Annoying, I know, but...

I'm still trying to find a way just to afford a squadron box, let alone anything else. :(
