FASA miniatures?

As I don't have enough Fed or Klingon minis for some games so I add various FASA minis that come close for representation. Helped laast weekend when I wanted to differentiate D7s, which I have plenty, from D7Cs. The Excelsior makes a good Battlecruiser.
Unfortunately most FASA models are way different in styles representing ships from the movies and later tv shows or are their own design particular to the game.

I think the important part is to have fun and don't worry as much about the minis.
Scoutdad and I are using different Battle Station minis since the official ones are not available yet. I have painted some non-standard freighter minis, etc. Use what you have, and remember that you don't have to have 100% consistency in styling, so long as you like what you have and are having fun.

The old FASA miniatures are smaller than the SL2500 ships produced by Mongoose, but that's no reason you could not use them if you want, as the actual size of the ships has no bearing on game play. The only problem would be that except for a few of the canon ships from the TOS, the ships look very different. It could be confusing if you used, say, a FASA Klingon D-10 model which doesn't exist in the SFU. What ship does it represent?Melkor said:

Unfortunatly, it coincided with my neice/goddaughter's 18th birthday and high school graduation, so I was in FL all last week for those two parties. I'm starting to think my ACTASF gaming is cursed or something! Every time I try to schedule a game something comes up. :roll:

Here's a picture of mine that shows a ADB SL2400 Federation CA on the left and its FASA equivalent mini.
