I am pretty much happy with the gold. It looks good and is quick to paint. I have also decided on how I will paint the green/white on future models... more Blending and less streaky so that itlooks more glow-ee.

I must admit I'm having trouble conjuring mental images of the ship in my mind

The front side of the wings are glowing I presume... What about the neck section? Is it a glow or a cast light??

Brilliant highlighting as usual CJ! m(_ _)m

I second Greg

I know you do the "painting and modeling" on-line mag, but maybe YOU should do the mongoose painting guide if they don't.

Wicked stuff as ever. I get the feeling you can fill up the next wargames painting mag with a how to paint Gaim article....

Hi guys,

Thanks for the props.

The Gold was very easy to paint. I started with an undercoat of white. Then as a base colour I use the Foundry paint Buring Gold 44C which is a very silvery green gold colour.

Then I use the Vallejo Game Ink Skin Wash as a glaze and build up the rich browns and really bring the gold back to a rich colour.

The green was a mix of several colours and I am still not certain it will stay. The green is meant to be the engines along the back of the wins.

Great Work!!

All I can say is if you ever do any Vree ships...I want to see them! Really bad! Having seen your other work...I'm sure that they would be stunning!
