EWF and Dorastor

Banded Mongoose
I'm trying to flesh out Eastern Ralios for my campaign. With Dorastor being (on the maps I have) the only easily accessible path between Ormsland and the EWF proper, how much hold should Chaos really have in the passes that the EWF must surely be using?

Surely Chaos wouldn't own the Kartolith pass if the EWF has the ability to move troops through but Karia is infected via the same pass. I suppose the EWF could be coming through via Bad Deal, but that means going into Carmania, right? They certainly wouldn't allow the passage of troops from a hostile state.

Any suggestions?

It has been clarified earlier that the EWF move to and from Ralios by flying over the mountains, so they need not control Dorastor to pass. Both Air and Dragon powers are probably needed to transport troops and goods that way, but the EWF has both.

Chaos is surely present in Dorastor, but it is less powerful and evident than in the Third Age. Dorastor is probably more a devastated land than a chaos-spawning place in the Imperial Age, with Poisonthorn Elves and Telmori being the only intelligent beings that dare to try and resettle it. Think of Dragon Pass after the Dragonkill War, but with the addition of "Unspeakable Things" lying dormant under the ashes.

Thanks! I was having trouble seeing how they got there without going through enemy armies. I missed that clarification (and I promise I've been trying to find it in the books for days) and for some reason I didn't even think about flight. Can you point me to the clarification in case there's more useful info I might find?

Thanks again!

Thanks again.

I remember reading some where that it was the Godlearners that brought Ralzakark to life after he was slain in the first age. Perhaps without his leadership the chaos is less of a threat and less organized. the God learners might have brought him back in hope that he would then be a thorn in the side of the EWF. per hap that could be the idea for a few mission. Have the players either trying to help resurrect his Slimeyness or trying to stop the God learners from their mission

Great idea! They're already about to face off against one of Darengeng's lieutenants. This could have them progressing to opposing the awakening. The EWF already hates them (though they haven't discovered their identities yet) for killing a small Hunting and Waltzing band so it'll soon be time to anger the God Learners, if the party feels predisposed to do so.

Thanks!
