Increased Damage Modifier (another combat related question, I must be playing D&D without realising it!) allows you to recalculate your DM based on STR+SIZ+POW. My question is, is it the characters POW before, or after the Pact dedication? Or is it GM's call?
I'm specifically looking at re-tooling Prince Gaynor (refer previous post for link) somewhat in my campaign; giving him abstinence food and water and removing 2 POW worth of other gifts. I currently have him with Weapon of Faith at a cost of 3 POW (giving a bonus 6 points to damage) and I also gave him Increased Damage Mod, but originally calculated the bonus based on his remaining POW after dedication, i.e.1 which doesn't increase his DM. If I redo his DM based on total POW it goes from 1D8 to 2D6 and I can drop the Weapon of Faith gift freeing up the 3 POW to 'buy' the Abstinence Gifts and 1 other.
