EA Laser variant?

I personally would love to see an EA ship--an Omega, probably--all-laser variant. We've seen refits of their ships with bolters, railguns, missiles, pulse cannons... I'd love to see them mix it up on one hull and go the Minbari route; nothing but beam and/or mini-beam weapons.

Even a Hyperion variant mounting nothing but range 15 mini-beams would be kind of a cool alternative.

Nope wouldnt go for that tbh. Basically its just not how the EA do their ships. Beam heavy would just be out of character, EA use big batteries of weaponry backed up by a few beams. If you put a varient in for everything then you end up with a fleet that doesnt really have a 'character' of its own to my way of thinking.

Having a small laser gunship like an Olympus is one thing but too many would just not feel right to me.

What i would love to see is more of the Omega-only Light Laser Cannons.

They arent too powerful, and would make for some really nice dangerous ships. And the weaponry already exists.

Something along the line of, anti-interceptor ship. Kinda stupid though, since EA is the interceptor heavy fleet in B5, dammit.......
