EA Early 5pts battle, 3 pts raid, Campaign list

Hey well it turns out I'm going EA not Minbari... but thanks for the help on that thread.

EA was my original choice so I'm happy with it.

Heres my campaign list:

5 pts battle:

1stpt - Nova (raid), Sagittarius (skirmish), Oracle (skirmish)
2ndpt- Nova (raid), Sagittarius (skirmish), Hermes (patrol), Hermes (Patrol)
3rdpt - Hyperion (raid), Hyperion (raid
4thpt- Hyperion (raid), Olympus (skirmish), Tethys (patrol), Tethys (patrol)
5thpt - Hyperion (raid) Olympus (skirmish), Sagittarius (skirmish)

Fleet comes with 14 wings of fighters.

3 pts raid:

1stpt - Hyperion (raid)
2ndpt - Hyperion (raid)
3rdpt - Sagittarius (skirmish), Hermes (patrol), Hermes (patrol)


I'll be buying the EA 1st and 3rd Era boxes. I'm using almost every model except: Orestes System Monitors (2 models), 4 flights of T-Bolts (use as Starfuries I guess), Avenger Carrier (1 model), Omegas (2 models) and a Warlock advanced destroyer (1 model).

So i'm using most of the two boxes combined. Actually I've got 2 more Hyperions, 1 more Sagittarius and 2 more Hermes then I would be able to field at once. Not that I think it matters.

No Artemis's because I thought none came in the box. But looking again you DO get one. So I'll probably swap a Sagittarius for an Artemis. But hmm. Sagittarius missile platform 30 range or the 12 inch range of the Artemis's Forward rail guns. I'm still tossing up. ATM I feel the Sag would be the better choice then the Arty.

Have you considered getting a couple of Avenger Carriers? For early EA they are Raid Level, has 8 fighters, and comes with a +1 command. Also carriers regenerate 2 fighters per campaign repair and reinforcements phase.

I was thinking of it, the Ark Royale (hehehehe) it was more an issue of using it in conjunction with a Nova and a few Hyperions, would i have enough Fighter models/stands. Eventually I'll rebase them 3 per stand so double my fighter config but to start I'll probably be using the prescribed bases.

I was toying up with the idea of putting one in the 3pts Raid list. But I then felt I was too low on actual combat ships.

I could have 3pts Raid:

1stpt: Avenger (Raid)
2ndpt: Hyperion (Raid
3rdpt: Artemis (skirmish), Hermes (patrol), Hermes (Patrol).

So I've still got some long range missiles, 11 fighter flights, the Hyperion and Artemis can work as a tag-team.
