DW: Creature Creation Guidelines

I was wondering if there were any guidelines for creating new creatures for Dragon Warriors.

A good rule of thumb is to identify a DW critter that is similar in size/attributes/build/species etc. strip it back to its raw stats and work outwards from that framework.
