Duration of Consecrate spell?

I may have missed it in the rules, and did a search here & through the errata, but what is the duration of Consecrate? :?

It lasts for as long as the caster needs it to last (note that its duration is 'Special') - so it could be indefinite. But whilst it operate the dedicated POW used for the casting cannot be used for another spell, and neither can the caster cast it again on another site, unless he has taken a second Consecrate spell as a further point of dedicated POW.

Can anything desecrate a consecrated area as long as the consecrating priest lives and maintains the spell? I presume Dismiss Magic wouldn't do the job. Would desecrating the altar remove the magic?

Would a failure to hold services on a Holy Day void the consecration? What about the High Holy Day?
