Drazi/Campaign clarification questions

A couple things I'm not clear on:

1. I've seen several places on the forum that there are 5 Star Snake flights to a wing. Is this correct, and if so where did it change? According to SFoS it's 4 per wing, and I don't see a correction in either the SFoS Errata or Armageddon.

2. Drazi "Green and Purple" other duty: is the -4/+2 initiative modifier cumulative with their normal +1/+2? How does it affect a mixed-race fleet?

3. If a ship is obtained through the 2 or 12 roll on the Other Duty table and that ship has fighter flights, is it possible to replenish them (assuming that it doesn't also have the Carrier trait)?

4. (not really Drazi or campaign specific) Both sides have fighters. Player A moves his first, and puts several in contact with Player B's. Does this mean that Player B can't move those craft as they are immediatly locked in a dogfight? I think this is the case, but the rules aren't quite clear (or I'm just dense).

Whew! Thanks :)

1) Hmm, I second the question, both Burger's and my shipviewer have it listed as 5 flights to a wing???? but SFOS does say 4???

2) Dunno

3) Replenish as in buy replacements for combat losses? I see no reason why not, just use the normal rules.

4) Correct, player B has been forced into a dogfight and can't move those fighters that turn.

1. Err oh yeah, you're right, it is 4... fixed :)

2. I would say yes it is cumulative, since it is described as a "penalty" or "bonus", rather than a "score". But in a mixed League fleet I'd say you should use the normal rules, since the Drazi are only one part of your fleet, the initiative would still be dragged down to -3 if you have some pak'ma'ra in there...

3. Lost fighters need to be bought as wings using RRs, then put into your ships. Since you can't buy another race's fighter wings, you can't replenish lost fighters from another race's ship. Unless it can auto-replenish them, you can't get any more.

4. LBH got it right.

Indeed, it appears it should be 4, how did we both make that mistake Burger, I ddn't base my shipviewer off yours so I must have misread the book or something.

That's pretty much what I was thinking (though I was hoping that it really was 5 flights per wing  ) but I appreciate the assistance.

Thanks for the input.

Well I have updated my Armageddon and SFOS shipviewers to correct this error, the full update to the Armageddon version which will include everything up to S&P 44 may be delayed by my upcoming fortnight away in Spain

That's only a 30 day trial or costs.

A friend recommended FileZilla.

i just need a night to sit down, install the ftp stuff, and then uipload it, but i have less than no time before I go on holiday.

2) The green and purple duty seems to apply only if the ship is a part of a drazi fleet, not a mixed fleet. It would seem silly for an ISA fleet that takes one drazi ship as an ally to be crippled by the drazi trying to gain dominance of the fleet. Seems to be something not considered at the time of writing. I would think it stacks with regular initiative, because its described as a penalty or bonus.

might be useful to come up with some type of house rule for this in mixed fleets; roll a die, and on x the ship has too much infighting to participate in the next campaign turn.
