Dragonmeet Launch Event

Hi guys

Can we get some details of what is going to be on offer at Dragonmeet this Saturday? I assume there will be demo games of ACTA: SF going on but will the rulebook be there for sale? I'm not going, unfortunately but I know of one eager beaver at least who is

Yes, Star Fleet will be there - in fact, I have just spent the afternoon 'training up' the demo guys

We will have the squadron sets on sale. For the rulebooks, we won't have the hardback but we will have the 'pocket' version that appears in the fleet sets. So, the offer will be pre-order the rulebook (will be with you 10-12 days after the show, post free), and you get the pocket book on the day for free, allowing you to start play immediatly and

Now, Dragonmeet tends to be more RPG than miniatures but, I warn people, stocks will be limited (we should be okay with books), so if there is a rush, they will go quickly. If you want to be exploring Star Fleet 2-3 weeks before anyone else, come and see us early during the show!

Just follow the Star Trek music and the rather attractive Lt Uhura...

Awww does this mean CTA:SF won't be releasing to general market until mid December? I thought I heard the beginning of it. Blast. Ordered the book and I'm very excited to get my hands on it as both a big B5:ACTA fan and someone with passing familiarity with the SFU.

Matthew has said that pre-orders will ship w/c 5th December. I imagine it nwill take a week or two for it to get through to other games shops.

I hope ACTA:SF is a huge success today at Dragonmeet and I look forward to reading comments and reviews over the coming days. Of course, I'm much more looking forward to writing my own reviews soon :wink:
