Dragon Warriors

That's great news. I always liked to play the mystic class - and with my dice rolling that meant I generally got to cast one spell a day lol but still great fun.

A few years ago I managed to get hold of the books 1 to 4, but never found 5 or 6 within my price range and in reasonable condition.

I'm surprised there isn't more talk about this classic RPG?!

One of the questions I had was what exactly is in the new core rulebook? At 256 pages, and 2 other books covering adventure, bestiary and treasures, what could be taking up all of the space? Certainly, all of the rules for Dragon Warriors can't be that complicated.

Anybody care to share what is in the core rulebook?

I remember these from some of my earliest non-Fighting Fantasy gaming. Took ages to track down a complete set and I don't know what happened to it.

Any chance of some previews? A section on the website devoted to it? Somthing other than a couple of pics in this month's releases to let us know it's coming?

So what is there to be said about this game other than "It's old and it's well loved"....

I'd never heard of it before mongoose's announcement.

Whats the core mechanic behind Dragon Warriors. I seem to vaguely remember this.

thanks

Having just looked at the books...
TH: 1d20 for Attack - Target's defense or less; nat 20 always misses, nat 1 always hits AND bypasses armor
To Penetrate Armor: Weapon Die for more than armor doing fixed damage to hits.

Magic: 2d10 for MagAtt - Target's MagDef or less

I can't say I find it impressive... it does look solid and playable.

Is there going to be a Dragon Warriors "World Book" ?

that is what i initially figured "Sleeping GOds" to be
I would love a world book

just need some money to throw at it is all :?
